I'm a little (read: a lot) obsessed with stationery. I'm an avid reader with a massive TBR bookcase (I'm pretty sure I keep Exclusive Books in business😅), and I think I'm trying to relive my youth through stickers.

Last year, I spent two full weeks blissfully categorising hundreds (probably thousands) of stickers I’d collected from Thailand and New York into themes like pandas, polar bears, food, flowers, teddies, books, travel, and Christmas. I stuck them neatly into three different sticker books. It was genuinely one of the most relaxing, joyful things I’ve ever done. Is that sad? Actually, don't answer that.

When I got back to South Africa and tried to keep my collection going… I couldn't get the kind of stickers I wanted. 

Finding beautifully designed Japanese and Korean stickers, stamps, and stationery here was almost impossible. Ordering them from overseas? Expensive, slow, and most of the time they don’t even ship to SA. I'm also not a fan of Temu anything, so that wasn't an option for me. The rage was real (yes...a bit dramatic).

So I decided: if I couldn’t get them easily, I’d bring them here myself so other stationery addicts like me could get their hands on a stash one can normally only get overseas.

That’s how The Stickery was born.

A proudly South African store importing the kind of stickers, stamps, and stationery you can’t find here, from Japan and Korea. At prices that make far more sense than international shipping and customs.

Just because we’re on the ass end of the world doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have access to the very best stickers and stationery, right? My dogs, Lu and Lola, agree (they’re often covered in stickers themselves. As if they could get any cuter).

If it has a surface, it’s getting stickered or stamped :)
