I’m Maxine— dog mom, lifelong stationery lover, compulsive organiser, and founder of The Stickery.

Last year, I spent two full weeks blissfully categorising hundreds (okay, probably thousands) of stickers I’d collected from Thailand and New York into themes like pandas, polar bears, food, flowers, teddies, books, travel, and Christmas. I stuck them neatly into three different sticker books. It was genuinely one of the most relaxing, joyful things I’ve ever done.

But when I got back to South Africa and tried to keep my collection going… I came unstuck.

Finding beautifully designed Japanese and Korean stickers, stamps, and stationery here? Almost impossible. Ordering them from overseas? Expensive, slow, and most of the time they don’t even ship to SA.

So I decided: if I couldn’t get them easily, I’d bring them here myself—and share the joy with other stationery addicts who deserve cute, quality supplies.

That’s how The Stickery was born:

A proudly South African store importing the most delightful stickers, stamps, and stationery from Japan and Korea—the kind you can’t find here—at prices that make far more sense than international shipping and customs.

Just because we’re on the ass end of the world doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have access to the very best stickers, right? My dogs, Lu and Lola, agree. (They’re often covered in stickers themselves. As if they could get any cuter.)

If it has a surface, it’s getting stickered or stamped :)
